Why we shed a tear when we Yawn.

I am sure all of us at one point in our life whether it is in a boring classroom, seminar or meeting has yawned like there is no tomorrow. Yawning isn’t a sin but have you ever noticed that when we yawn we tear up just a bit. Sometimes when we give off a big yawn we might shed a tear or two this is because when we yawn, the facial muscles surrounding our eyes pull tight and puts pressure on our lacrimal glands which produce our tears and they occur not only when we cry but when these facial muscles tighten. So the next time you yawn, which will hopefully not be while reading this you will take notice of this tear.
