In the western part of the world, medical tourism is a recognized industry. As information technology, manufacturing, and technical jobs went to the east, nobody really thought that healthcare will take the same road someday. Many hospitals in these countries boast of best, skilled medical professionals and provide medical care on par with western countries. Western insurance companies are also in favor of covering medical tourism as well. Therefore, this will be a great boost to medical tourism in countries like India.
