Ultra Sound Therapy for Alzheimer’s disease

One of the most growing diseases in the world is Alzheimer, a neurodegenerative condition and very recently researches in Queensland, Australia had published findings in their project which ultrasound waves were used to treat Alzheimer’s disease. The results showed that the therapy could restore memory. It is found out that ultrasound wave can open the blood brain barriers and activate microglial cells without cellular damage to the brain. Medical researchers believe most Alzheimer’s are result of one of two conditions in the brain:

• Amyloid plaques: These plaques are found between the neurons.

• Neurofibrillary tangles: The neurofibrillary tangles are located inside the brain’s neurons.
