Tips to Keep in Mind while Quitting Smoking

Unarguably one of the hardest things to do if you are hooked is to quit smoking. I know of dozens of friends who quit smoking twice a day but we should encourage it as it is the thought of quitting that is indeed the first step. Today let us review through some tips to remember while we are in the process

  • Always the remember the reason: To keep your family safe from second hand smoke, promise to a loved one, own health issues, whatever may be the reason always remember it.
  • Find a hobby: Not just find it, get hooked on it and make sure all your otherwise free time is used on this.
  • Exercise: Working out is always advised as it not only helps in detoxification but also gets the body sufficiently tired to keep the thought of smoking out.
  • Nicotine patches: Nicotine itself is harmless and just causes dependency so one can try nicotine patches or pills or even move onto vaping.
  • Meditation: The most important step while trying to quit smoking is your will power. Yoga and meditation is among the most potent ways to increase one’s self control.
  • Remove all traces: Throw away all your ash trays and reserve packets in full determination that you will never need it.
