Side Effects of Tea

For many of us, the judgment of whether a day starts off good or bad depends on your morning cup of tea. It rejuvenates your senses and keeps you in your toes. There are however certain side effects to the excessive consumption of this beverage.

•          Dehydration: Excess tea consumption means excess consumption of caffeine. This can reduce the absorption abilities of your tubules, which can leave you dehydrated.

•          Bloating: Excess consumption of tea may cause dehydration which calls for unwanted water retention and thus, you may feel bloated.

•          Nutrient Deficiencies: Excess consumption of tea may hinder absorption of essential nutrients like iron by the body.

•          Addiction: The caffeine in tea is extremely addictive and too much caffeine in the body is extremely harmful.

•          Anxiety: Excess caffeine in the body will make you feel anxious, restless and even sleep deprived.
