If you don’t see at least one lazy person in your office cubicle or in your class room it’s because you are too lazy to even bother looking. So in today’s edition let us discuss on some practical tips to overcome laziness.

 

  • Break the task down: In some cases you don’t want to get started on a work because it is a herculean task, so break it into small parts and tackle it one at a time.
  • Benefits: Motivation is always a big factor, thinking about the rewards you could reap if you finish the task is an ample way to fight off laziness.
  • Consequences: Fear is an equally good factor, the fear of the consequences of what might happen if you don’t complete the task is also a good way to tackle laziness.
  • Positive Mindset: Create a positive mindset to the task at hand so that you go into the work without any unneeded negativity.
  • Rest and Exercise: It goes without saying but you need a balance or harmony in these two characteristics. More of one and less of the other will do you more harm than good.
  • Consider it as an exercise: We all need exercise in our life, so just consider the work that you need to complete as today’s exercise.
  • Avoid Procrastination: Procrastination is synonym for laziness. If you have to get something done, do it then and there.
