Laziest Countries in the World

The Argus Monitoring app has collected data from over 700,000 anonymous people and recorded minute by minute data for 68 million days’ worth to record the average daily steps taken by an individual. It is without a doubt a 1000 times larger than any previous study conducted on human movement. The results showed the worlds laziest countries by the sheer definition of manual motion. Hong Kong was top averaging 6,880 steps a day, while Indonesia was bottom of the rankings with just 3,513 steps. The authors who had published their findings says that it has paved the way for bigger and better worldwide research to come and also gave insights for improving peoples health. The research concluded that sex ratio or financial ratio had nothing to do with the nations statistics but it is indeed the ‘activity inequality’ that plays an important role in obesity levels. The bigger the activity inequality, the higher the rates of obesity.
