  1. Water consumption

Intake of water is directly connected to vata dosha. The vata skin is more prone to ageing and get rougher by time. To cure the dosha imbalance, the skin needs constant nourishment and hydration. Drinking proper amount of water clears up the skin from dead cells and soothes the tissues. Two litres of drinking water are recommended for an adult per day.

  1. Healthy foods

The kapha imbalance makes the skin more vulnerable to acne and increase the oil content. Kapha imbalance can be rectified by proper intake of nutrients. Organic food with lots of fresh vegetable and fruits can help in the body’s natural detoxification. Including warming oils in the diet like mustard seeds, grape seed or almond increases the circulation and boosts the lymphatic system.

Natural face masks can be helpful in achieving a clear, glowing skin. Weekly exfoliation with clay or mud masks is good for the skin. Papaya extract, turmeric paste, lemon and garlic mix etc. are also great for making face masks. Face masks reduce the oil content in the skin and increase nourishment.
